Evan and I both went to North. We both were asked to be servers for the Prom when we were Sophomores and we needed to ask someone for a date. So I called and he said he was going to ask me!
We went to a High School Play at North for our first date and then the Prom. After going to KU for a semester I transferred to Emporia State University where Evan was going and loved it there.
We had a small family wedding in Evans backyard in May,1973 and then finished our Senior year at Emporia State. I started teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Evan taught 5th grade in Emporia. We moved out to the country in 1976 and have raised our two children in rural Chase County,Kansas, my Art Studio is located next to my house. We’re enjoying traveling , four grandkids and are still best friends.
School Story:

North had a fairly large Art program! So I took three years of Ceramics from Thomas Lent. I loved it! Also I enjoyed canoeing, synchronized swimming ( remember those awful suits!)sewing class and the Water Carnival. North High is truly a beautiful high school by the Arkansas river in my favorite part of town.

Bob was a friend of Evan's and I, we went to see him in Colorado Springs once and I liked the staircase in his house, he said "I designed it".  I wasn't surprized as I admired his ablilties to draw, design and do about anything he wanted to since he came to Woodland School in second grade.  He was always at the top of the class and very studious.  I remember he worked as an usher in high school at The Boulevard Theater, helping us find our seats with his flashlight.  Bob was one of the nicest guys we ever met and definitely missed.

I remember Randy too, Such a nice fella, a happy go lucky- mostly smiling kind of person.Though we didn't keep in touch,Randy helped make the times we had in grade school at Woodland fun. He was really great at bat on the baseball field and kept a happy attitude no matter how things went.  It was a pleasure to be in school with Randy.

I remember you but I thought you went to Woodland. The reunions are really fun, we didn't go to any until the 20th and now we're looking forward to the 45th next Sept.
